Does the 3M Littmann Classic II Pediatric Stethoscope work well?
I'm wondering if the 3M Littmann Classic II Pediatric Stethoscope is any good. I'm in a Vet Tech program and I'll be needing a pediatric stethoscope soon. One of my teachers recommended the Ren-Lor stethoscopes. But I was wondering about this kind. Please let me know. Thanks!

- Littmann makes high quality auscultation products. Currently with the Littmann cardiology master. I've had at least 3 of the "Classic" and "Classic II" line over the years. Very cost efficient. Good sound quality. Durable. It is arguably the most respected stethescope brand in (human) healthcare. That said, I have never used one to auscultate a Chihuahua's mitral regurgitation. I have no idea if Littmann has the same reputation and usefullness in veterinary medicine. Is there a Y!A VetMed?
- Littmann is great! I don't know anything about Ren-Lor, but it looks like you pay for design, not function.
- I can only tell you that it works very well in children. It would probably work well when you examine a Maltese. With its relatively small head, it might take a day and a half to listen to a St. Bernard.
